Title: Klickitat Reccomendations
Post by: YellowDog on July 18, 2014, 12:49:38 PM: My brother and I are novice fly fishermen. We want to try the Klickitat for steelhead. We do not have a boat but we made a run down there last year for the first time to check things out but really didn't know where to start so it was basically a bust. We are thinking the best and most economical way to learn the river, techniques, etc. is to bite the bullet and hire a guide for a day. So...

Would it be better to hit it in late August or mid to late September? (It seems that September might be better because the Silvers and Kings will be in and allow additional opportunity???)

Any reviews and reccomendations for guides?

Post by: RustneckNW on July 18, 2014, 01:36:54 PM: I'd recommend Tracy Zoller at adventurefishing.net. They have a nice place right on the river with some nice cabins and their own spot to launch and everything. He's been fishing the Klick forever and will bust his butt for you! Really nice people.
