Title: watershed question
Post by: steeliedrew on July 19, 2014, 08:52:37 AM
So last night I found myself on a ridge at 4,000ft trying to glass up some bears. My garmin rino 650 told me I was right on the border of the cedar river water shed.  GMU 490i think. Looked like some pretty pristine wilderness in there.

Is the cedar river watershed the one that has special draw hunts?

I gathered that much.  Haha. joking. There's gotta be some absolute giants in there.  Will it ever be opened for a special draw?

No, the city of Seattle is anti-hunting. I'm not sure but I think Indians do get to hunt in the there though.

The majority of the elk migrated into the north bend snoqualmie area because of lack of logging there are probably a fair number of elk in there. Usually down by the lake. FYI there is a small plane that patrols the shed and I think it has special heat monitors to find you. Then a patrol vehicle will be there shortly  trying to find you. At least that's what a friend told me  Ha. 20" cutts in the lake by the shore. Years ago my bud was fishing and at the indeed of cedar creek there were two guys set up like Eddie bower. Fly fishing. Must have been some pretty special guys. Above the law kinda guys this was back in the 70 s
