Title: Cow Elk???
Post by: BetoBow on July 21, 2014, 08:17:27 AM: I wanted to get the opinion of hunters who have greater experience than I, since I only have a couple of years under my belt. Since most of us (Archery) don't get drawn for a bull tag we have to stick to Spike or cows. What hunting method would you guys say would work better for hunting cows?? What are some tactics that have worked for you in the past?

:yeah:

If you find fresh tracks you can very often follow them right to the elk that made them.

Post by: BULLBLASTER on July 21, 2014, 09:11:15 AM: As said above spot and stalk or tracking but calf calls will also help if you are into the herd. The cows will also come investigate cow calf sounds.
