I realize this is a longshot, but I'm going to try anyway. My daughter is gearing up for her first deer hunt this year and our private land access fell through. Thus, I have zero plan for where to take her.
I have never hunted whitetail in WA and can't afford to get her a tag in Montana where I hunt. I'm looking for any general guidance on areas where we have a reasonable chance to find a legal animal of any sort.
If anyone has some advice I would really appreciate it. PM if you are willing to help a father out. If you are willing to give access to public land, we could work out some sort of salmon or cookie exchange for your generosity.

Where are you and where do you want to hunt? Can you travel?

If shes under 15 and is more concerned about just getting a deer than getting a buck I would look into the antlerless hunts. Most of the GMU's on the far east side of the state open up antlerless to youth with just a OTC tag. If you can't find private land to get on look at the maps on the wdfw website and figure out where some feel free ground or state land is. There's a good amount out there. You undoubtedly wont have it to yourself, but at the same time most people wont have the option of shooting a doe. You should have a good chance of getting one if you aren't picky.
Sorry I cant offer up any private land.

If you want to make a trip, I can show you some feel free land over here where taking a doe at a minimum is very feasible.

That's basically the idea, shoot the first legal deer larger than our dog. Thanks to everyone who replied, I will be checking regs and getting back to you.
