OK so here is the question... i am a little torn, the issue is that i can easily take a black tail doe during early archery no worries to get some meat in the freezer, or should i wait and head to a place i know east with some big ol' mulies during modern firearm. what do you all think. If i get a drawn from the raffle then it;s a no brainer but if i don;t what do ya;ll think
:archer: or :bfg:

The choice between a doe and a big ol mulie buck would be an easy decision to me. I am not a meat hunter though.
-
Well the big o'le mulie will have easily twice as much meat as the blacktail doe.
-
i have a MS tag.
-
Shouldn't be hard to harvest a doe during the late archery. So go east for rifle mule deer and if you do not fill your tag take a doe during late archery.
-
:yeah:
-
And hey, the mulie might even be cooked for you already!
-
I'd shoot the doe and have some good eats. This coming from a meat hunter.
-
don't get me wrong i would love to harvest a great BUCK!, but i don;t want tag soup
-
Do you hunt elk? My early muzzleloader elk season is what determines the quality of buck I take during modern deer. Since you've got a ms tag, you for a good buck. You can always take a late season archery doe if you have to.
-
I PLAN TO HUNT ELK THIS YEAR MY FIRST YEAR. So yeah
-
Paying the price for a multi season tag to shoot an early season doe seems like a waste to me. That being said, I would prefer you shoot the black tail doe and leave the east side, big ole muleys for me.

yeah i need to go scout soon now... b/c of the damn fire... proablably messin up my spot! not really a spot persay but they all hang out there it's like thier hang out spot. but there it;s a 3 point minimum
