I fished Saturday with zero luck. If the bite is on again, I'd like to go in the morning. Just looking for a report saying it's good again!

Any fishing Lake Osoyoos for them?  They should be there if the rains moved them upstream.

I would think lake ouysoos would be good but never fished it. Yesterday a buddy got 1 king and 8 sockeye and another got a king and like 11 sockeye

Brewster pool is still closed. They may have to drain it, clean it, then fill it back up. There was a lot of debris that fell in it from the fire.

I don't think that is what the conversation was about.  :chuckle:

They also netted 3 dolphins each and shot a elephant.

Osoyoos can be tough to fish for sockeye. The U.S.portion of the lake is relatively shallow  the fish cruise through and hold up in deeper Canadian water waiting to run up and spawn.

As for Brewster pool the really good sockeye fishing is behind us for this year. King fishing should only get better though. Interested to see how the derby goes this weekend.

I was there last weekend with no luck.  When we talked to Fish and Game, they said they only checked two fish.  The temp was at 65.5 degrees which is too cold.  The sockeye just keep on going through.  Along with that, my buddy had a leak in his boat, as well as a constant beeping when he ran his big motor.  Overall a crappy fishing trip. With this warm weather, it's back up to 70 degrees.  Hopefully, it'll be good this weekend.  I'm hoping to make it up there and get some fish for the freezer.  Good luck!

What a good bait for the kings?

Brad's Super Bait Cut Plugs have worked well for a lot of people.  "Hot Tamale" is the color of choice, but there's a lot of good choices.  Add some tuna scent, or take a can of tuna in oil and shove it in there.

RIP SOME LIPS!

I was there on Wednesday and caught and released one native.  I saw about three hatchery fish caught out of 15 or so kings.  Water melon cut plug was the color that day.  Use some tuna in oil and follow the crowd.  Good luck
PS The best part was watching two tribal members set gill nets along the bank at 1AM in the morning and pull them at 3AM full of fish.  I don't think they released any native kings. :dunno:

This morning was good...got 3 kids their first salmon.  Only 4 sockeye made it into the boat. We got one king to the boat, native. What a fight! Sure took a lot of line very quickly, thumb on spool was not smart...got kinda warm! . I was very excited to do battle with such a dandy fish.

Was planning on making the 300 mile drive this weekend but "life" got in the way. I figured if I made the trip it would rain tomorrow night and kill the fishing (like it did last year  :bash:) so I will stay home this weekend so the rest of you can catch a bunch and enjoy great fishing

Anyone fishing this week? I hope to go up Thursday morning. We will probably take my friends boat this time. We had fun on Sunday, lost a few sockeye at the boat. Came home with 5 Sockeye and one hatchery king. I am really enjoying this fishing season in the new boat!
