Post by: lokidog on August 04, 2014, 08:55:55 PM: Crappie are one of my favorite eating fish. As I got older, I started fileting them instead of scaling and frying whole. At some point I realized they didn't taste as good as I remembered. I fried some up old school and liked them better. I then realized that if I scaled them, then fileted without skinning, I still got that yummy sweet flavor that the skin adds to it.

Lost a few northern tonight snapped lines. One chased my lure up to the boat then took it and broke my line to boot.
