We watched one guy run his trailer over the ramp to one of the docks while launching and were still laughing about it when I dinked the dock lol (the shame haha). We motored out after that with as much dignity as possible (not much) and dropped our crab pots in a new spot I won't be using again any time soon. The day was absolutely gorgeous with very light wind, calm water and warm temperature!
We got to fishing pretty quickly off of pnp and quickly joined the armada, folks were out in just about anything that floated today and trolling in every direction with a few random boats mooching in the midst of the mess. we had several near collisions with one boat that couldn't seem to tie up gear and drive at the same time and got buzzed at close range twice by "No More Whisky" ... You sir drive your boat admirably close to other boats before shearing off at top speed and planing past them 10 yards away, must be some serious confidence or you really DID drink all the whisky!
About 10:30 we noticed a boat headed straight at us on a perpendicular course and they are really cooking! I hollered for my partner to grab the horn and he asked me "seriously"? (*&)( yes! I said, the boat is getting close enough that I reach for my pistol fully intent on putting at least one through the windshield as my partner is now waving frantically at them trying to get their attention. They sheer off and chop throttle at less than 50 feet revealing their WDFW badge on the side of their green North River...and ask us where we launched that day as they are taking a survey. Makes me wonder if they ever passed a boater's safety course!
Boat retrieval was awesome as always including an impromptu race to the no-wake zone (lol), I do have fun surprising people with how quick my boat actually is sometimes! I don't know what it is with people thinking they need to try and pass as many boats as possible in the mouth of the Snohomish but it sure seems like a lot of people like to do it!
Waiting for the guy ahead of me to get his trailer into the water was a little maddening, 25+ tries on the ramp and he still almost ended up parallel parked next to his trailer with the driver's side tires in the water! Looked like that method made it pretty difficult to trailer the boat too so I opted not to try it!
All in all it was a great day on the water, beautiful day/weather with plenty of humor thrown in even made the skunk factor easy to take.

Did you see many fish boated?
How long of a run is it from Snohomish to PNP?
I was thinking of hitting the Eglon launch near hansville.
I took a dive up there a couple weeks ago, and the Salsbury launch in Hood Canel,, did not have allot of trailers. There were about 15 people fishing salmon from shore by the launch.
