Title: snag canyon fire has spread to naneum canyon

Post by: jrebel on August 20, 2014, 02:27:50 PM: In my neck of the woods it sounds like they will reevaluate all closures this week. I really hope they start to open up the woods as hunting season is two weeks away.

I agree. I understand safety but I mean were 2 weeks away from archery season.

Post by: elkoholic1 on August 20, 2014, 03:30:49 PM: theres no sign of smoke from town the last few days still see about a doz or so forest service and fire trucks coming down recer creek every night around dusk tried talking to a few of them but didnt get much out of them about possible open before sept 1 :bash:

Heard that part of the reserve caught fire and someone is scheduled to go up on Friday to investigate and possibly open up the rds again. Just fyi for the hunters hunting that unit.

Wonder how many guys are going to do the same thing? All roads have been closed since the second week of this month
