This photo is posted on the flickr page for the Carlton Complex fire. "Three weeks after the Carlton Complex burned through the Chiliwist area, shrubs have started to regenerate"
I am guessing the rain from two weeks ago went along ways to bring on this new growth. Hopefully we will get some more dampness this fall to green up further before winter, the deer can use all they can get.

There seems to be a good growth pattern in areas where fires have been thru. Nature always has a way to turn things around. Good to see!
