Anyone running one? Going to pick one up for my 01 Cummins. How do you like it? Any problems?
-
Have a 2000 3500, have had the EZ on since 2002, no problems at all.
-
Is there anything else done to your truck? EZ is a pressure box and should give you a nice safe 65+hp gain and lots of low end torque. You will love it if your still stock! Great unit! If you want real power and guages get the Edge Juice for it.
-
What level are you guys running? I don't have a EGT gauge yet but soon.
-
Only one level. 65hp. I would install egt gauge before towing.
-
I put one on my 2005 3500 ram. and air intake. Best thing I ever did get 22mpg if you keep your foot out of it. I haul a11ft camper and 21 ft sled no problum :twocents: without camper & boat

I also have a Edge EZ on my 1999 5speed Cummins. Bought the truck used and this an added bonus it also came with an exhaust brake.

I have edge juice cts system on my 05. I am going to install edge ez also to stack together. Then a better turbo as stock turbos arent good for towing heavy loads unless stock tuned and still gets egt hot!! I recommend anyone towing with these year 03 to 07 to get an egt gauge as they run too hot even in stock form. Barey safe!
-
You guys running with a pyro gauge or not?
-
I have one, makes a solid PEAK 40 hp over stock....the advertized 65 HP is a gain at peak torque, so at about 1900 RPM. This is on a 2001 VP44 truck. (common rail versions are much different)
It's stacked with an old 3 wire Competiton Blue Box, Mach 6+ injectors, twin turbos...yadda yadda yadda...truck makes 635 ponies at the wheels
Edge EZ on it's own on a bone stock VP44 cummins should not need a pyro.

Twinturbos is way to go for towing heavy! My CR with clear exhaust and cold air intake will break 1300egt in stock form towing and working 100% load. Its safe as all these stock trucks run around towing without EGT pyro. But Cummins recommend 1250egt max at 100$ load and holset likes turbo under 1350-1400degrees as well. My point is nothing added to a common rail is safe even if they say it is. I went with edge knowing smarty makes more power but it has safety alerts and defuel to keep in check. I set egt at 1300 backdown and turbo psi at 38psi backdown with the alerts before i get to backdown. Tracks all maintanence records to. Neat setup. Stock turbo is junk for towing, too hot! Vp trucks have more air flow in turbo but less boost.
