Title: Advice on Sol Duc
Post by: redi on August 09, 2014, 10:42:31 PM: Camping at Sol Duc Hot Springs this week with the kids. Any areas near there to see elk or bear? Redi

Post by: JimmyHoffa on August 11, 2014, 02:57:57 PM: The park is still scared of guns. They know they are legal, but still have all the 'no guns' signs up. They said they want to discourage them since they can't out right prohibit them.
If staying at the Hot Springs, I'd just do the Seven Lakes Basin Loop hike and probably see bear and goats maybe some elk. If you're fast you can do it and be back in the hot springs recovering.
