Title: Today's hunting trip
Post by: jtrammell on August 10, 2014, 01:23:20 PM: So I pull up to the gate and I suddenly feel the urge to drop logs. I grab my TP and my zip lock baggie, for the TP not the logs, and I walk in the wood line a bit. As I'm starting to squat I hear something running away. I stand and turn to see what it was. IT WAS A BEAR! My gun was still by me vehicle though.... :bdid:

I get to the berry patch I was going to hunt about 0630. I start calling shortly after that. About an hour after calling I hear something in the woods. My heart is pounding and all I'm thinking about is where I'm going to put the rug. Then I hear a man's voice. Then I hear his cell phone ring. All I could think of is "WHO IS YOUR PROVIDER AND HOW DO YOU HAVE SERVICE OUT HERE?!?!?!?!"

I ended up getting sick and throwing up and I started to head to the vehicle about 1130 and I see a very nice doe just walking across the road.

In the end it was a nice trip and I saw a lot of promising signs. I'm still looking for that first bear!

I'm really hoping so. This is my first year ever to hunt bear and I'm VERY excited about it.
