I have a muzzleloader tag for elk this year.
I applied for multi season elk - not selected.
I bought points only for the other elk draws.
I currently have a EA-WA muzzy elk tag.
Can I change my tag before the first day of a elk season in WA?
I bought the muzzy due to a MT hunt that was planned but now things have changed and I am committed to go on a hunt (I will be accompanying the hunter and not hunting) that will interfere with the 5 day muzzy season in the NE.
So if I can change my tag I will get a WA elk season after all.

Yes, if you applied for points only and no special elk permits.
-
Yes I believe you can exchange your tag, since you didn't apply for any special permit hunts.
Call the WDFW office in Olympia tomorrow and they can tell you for sure.

Bobcat, I was just going to send you a PM to ask if you would comment on this. Thank you. Thank you to Bob33. Both of you came to mind when I posted this. Thanks.
