Title: Tuna prices
Post by: Fishnclifff on August 10, 2014, 09:26:09 PM
I was chatting with a member from Stanwood area about tuna prices.

I have suffered a computer virus and lost a bunch of stuff.

To this person and who ever else wants to know.

Pacific Salmon Charters has fresh tuna loins for $1.90  lb.
Whole tuna for $ 2.00 lb.

That is all  :hello:

Thank you.

That would be dumb to pay $2 a lb whole if you can get loins cheaper.

I think he meant 11.90 a lb. for frozen loins

Negative ghost rider, the freezer was empty.
These were fish caught and frozen in  the last 2 days, $ 1.90 a lb, for loins, $ 2.00 for whole tuna.

So the loins /lb were really cheaper than the whole fish /lb?

Yippers.

My son opted for an 18lb whole fish, instead of a loin.

I seen the prices with me own peepers.
