Weather isn't quite as nice and the deer are about twice as big.  Most of the rest still applies......They're nutz

You live in the right area, there is good hunting every direction out of Spokane. Lots of public land and timber company land north of you. If you hunt IEP timber land you need to get their permit, just google it to find it. In WA you will have to choose your weapon and can only hunt those seasons. Get out and scout up some bucks and get them patterned, you'll find them somewhere nearby come season time.

Doesn't the Newport area have any whitetails left. I watch a couple of bucks every night that came from Newport but they came from Coyote Trail rd and around Lucky Joe mine area. Not timber company land :dunno:

Of course it has whitetails still.   Heck, downtown Spokane has some of the biggest whitetail bucks a guy could dream of in the city limits.

I will agree with that, seeing them first hand multiple times in the back yard years ago.  Pretty hard to jump in the rig early in the morning and head to Colville during the late wtail hunt when you have a 150"er in your yard.

I've been told about 3/4's of all the whitetail in Washington live in the northeast corner.
What weapon do you plan to hunt with. Lots of public land hour or two drive away.
