My dad and me heading down on Wednesday hows the fishing thanks
-
Two of my brothers stopped by Willapa Bay on the way home from Buoy 10 today and spoke with a couple different guys taking their boats out at the ramp. Both said it was slow overall but one of them did get a 20lb king. Good luck! Have fun!
-
Gillnetters were done the other day and it's starting to pick up again. Washaway has been a little nasty getting out there but they're getting some nice ones out there. We got a couple on this evenings flood just before the high out between #2 and #8 but closer to 2. Been foggy in the mornings too.
-
Gillnetters landed roughly 3,300. I'm sure that will make fishing a bit slower.
-
There were only a couple of trailers at the South Bend Ramp on Sunday. I hear that it is not worth the trip yet. Give it a couple more weeks.
-
I'll be heading out this weekend. Coming from Spokane so good or not I am getting on the water.
-
Some friends had limits of silvers down by washaway in the lower bay yesterday.
-
that's encouraging to hear, if they kings don't show up in the lower nisqually soon i may have to make a trip to do the spinner trolling thing up around wilson creek in the next few weeks.
-
Went by S. Bend this morning and the launch parking lot was almost full. :yike: There's fish being caught.
-
Big goon, I know of two fish caught on cat tail corner above the Wilson creek boat ramp this last weekend
-
I'm down here at the RV park in Tokeland for the whole month fishing so you can pm me if ya want. The silvers are in the bay now. I don't know how far up river they are but we're getting them between #2 & #8 right now and kings as well. I didn't fish today but will be out there in the morning.
-
thanks encore i went down yesterday got 3 between me and my dad 2 sillvers and a king i think we launched where your got all 3 up by wash away
-
oh if you saw guy in a wheelchair me
-
We caught 2 kings first thing in the morning between #2 & #8 then went out towards Washaway to #11 and picked up 4 silvers, 3 were 11lbs.. Lottsa fish being caught now. Getting ready to go hit it again. Good luck. I'm in a 17' Arima Sea Pacer (open bow).
-
Good luck out there all! I'll be launching out of South Bend in a white Wooldrige with 2 other guys and a yellow dog. Give a wave if you see me.
-
Thanks for the info Encore. You strolled by to say hi just at the right time! ;) We had a fun day. We only kept 1 king (18lbs) and 1 silver (8lbs) but we had our chances. We released 1 wild king and lost a couple others and had 5-6 takedowns that didn't stick. My buddies I was with don't fish too much so they were pleased just to be out and get some action. Good luck out there for the rest of the season! I hope to make it back out before too long.
-
Yeah I showed up just in time! :chuckle: We couldn't get a bump in the bay so we went to Washaway and my wife ended up with 2 kings and a silver. I had one to the boat but that's all the closer it got and had a few more take downs and that was it for me. That's the way it goes I guess. Glad you were able to put a couple in the boat! We're here for another week so maybe my luck will change. :dunno:
-
Anyone still down there how the fishing.
-
This is Saterdays limit offpf washsaway only picked up. 3 Sunday up there to ruff
-
Just got back home today after being down there all month. The fishing is pretty darn good right now at Washaway and the bay. Last week my brother and I limited on silvers at Waw. in 45 minutes and they were in really shallow, 9ft and even picked one up in 6ft! :yike: Took my wife out the next day and did the same thing. Couldn't pull any kings out of the shallows though. In the bay between #2 and #8 is good and between 8 and 10. Still lottsa fish down there. Wish I coulda stayed a couple more weeks but needed to get home and mow lawns and do a pile of laundry and pay bills. :bash:
-
Gawd I miss fishing..... Nice haul
-
Here's a couple of our days catches.
-
wow nice
-
went out Friday got 3 silvers worked hard nothing till 2 or so we went out by what i think was wash away and saw a large yellow buoy any idea what it is or for it was close to a sand bar
-
It's the channel marker and the marker for the harbor tothe ocean boundary from the marker to the point off of washsaway
-
It can get nasty out by the buoy. Most of the guys will go up by the house with green roof. I usually stay between there and the rusty roof building just a little bit south of there. We were getting silvers in 6ft of water between the two buildings last month a couple times on calm days of course.
-
That is fantastic, Nice job
-
you are right about it being nasty out there hard current one spot was really sloppy
-
All I can say is you guys and gals are killing it in the Bay and WashaWay good job. Love the pics of the canned salmon. Keep up the good work!
