So I'm thinking a little later this year I want to re-build my trucks tranny, nothing wrong with it now, but with high miles I'd rather do it now, then wait for a big tow bill and have to do it unplanned.
I'm not impressed with the local tranny builders, pretty much just looking for someone that can assemble my trans, with my chosen parts, and that knows what they are doing.
It's a 99 f250 7.3, with a 4r100 trans. Just going to go with a stock is build, but with a few upgraded parts, better clutches, and good converter.
I'm almost tempted to do it myself, or buy from craigslist. I see adds for 4r100's, for about 1500 with 8 year warrantys, seems to cheap to be decent though.

Looking more for a tranny tech that wants to make 800 $ in a day/weekend really. Around here tranny shops want 3500 $ for a bench job, with lowest bidder parts, and won't warranty it if I bring them the parts I want, or if the valve body has been modified, which mine has.
