I need pics, with landmarks in the background, 3 types of id, and preferably a written statement from said velvet free bucks or I just don't believe it. :chuckle:

2000 feet or so. Rocks and camera don't mix, so no deal, though my daughter was trying to get one with her cell phone.
-
Saw a velvet free 4 pt today up around 4000 ft. He was hanging out with a doe.
-
I also seen some whitetails out of velvet today.
-
Seems early, but tonight I saw a hard-horned blacktail 3-point with deep forks crossing the road near Buckley.
-
They still seem to have velvet here, but shouldn't be long now.
-
The three bucks I saw in the southern Pend Oreille County area, last Wednesday were all still in full velvet.
-
Still in velvet here.
-
No pics?
-
Of the 11 bucks visiting my plot all are still in velvet. 2222' asl.

I completely believe Bone because karma usually catches up with liars in the form of being shot by a skunk and to my knowledge that has not happened. 8)

Smallest of 5 legal bucks. The only one that's shed velvet. I think that pic was on the 28th.
-
I seen pics of a couple of bucks that were killed last weekend that had no velvet!
-
I live just outside of Newport and right now it looks like we are about 50/50. The deer I stuck opening day was still in full velvet, but the one who walked out before him was hard horned. I would guess that they will all be hard horned before the week is up.
-
I haven't seen a buck that is hard horned yet, all are still in velvet around my house even the town bucks still have velvet :dunno:

Weird, Where are you located? We started to see some hard horned bucks early last week. I thought all of ours would be out of velvet before we even started hunting.
-
My plots about 50/50 now too. Im getting excited for mid Oct
-
I take that back checked my trail cams last night and got three good bucks that have no velvet, but there is still a bunch of little bucks that still have there fuzz on them. The three that don't are all good size, if I knew how to post pics I would put them up.
-
I been seeing that too. Them little guys don't get as riled up as the bigger deer do, I think the bigger deer decide to show some poor tree who's boss and rub the velvet off sooner than the smaller bucks do.

I haven't been seeing any velvet bucks at my house...
