Title: Don't see out of state fishing place like I do for hunting so
Post by: The Real Sisu on September 01, 2014, 11:40:46 AM
Silvers finally arrived but the small craft warning haven't been good. But we still have been able to get about a dozen reds, 14 silvers, 6 halibut in the freezer. Would like more halibut but need to wait for better conditions. We also have 4 really big silvers all smoked and frozen for future eating, grand kids love this for a treat when at the house.
Last Saturday we nailed 1/2 a dozen silvers had our 7 year old grandson and dad along. We'd make sure the fish was on then hand the little guy the pole. After awhile his dad offered to help reel as he appeared to be tiring. His response was: no way I'm bringing the silver to the boat. His last silver was 15#.
Seeing him and his dad engaged in fishing was wonderful. Great day

There just isn't anything like watching the grandkids land their first salmon.  :IBCOOL:
