Title: Silly bears and flamingos
Post by: h20hunter on September 01, 2014, 05:57:31 PM
Mods....I posted this in the bear section but please feel free to move to the trail cam or video if needed.

Here is some action from the last two weeks. You can see why my flamingos have so many holes in them!

I have never heard of baiting bears with pink flamingos.  Are you sure that's legal?   :roll eyes:

Very nicely done!

So the real question is are you going to be wearing this bear hunting now?

Just might help. My favorite is the little guy rubbing on the tree.

That is pretty cool. Now how many people you think are going put out flamingos trying to attract bears.

I recommend everyone use flamingo decoys. No trees big enough...ground blind is the ticket.

Looks like they're hitting your honey hole hard now  You see one wearing a pirate patch over his left eye?  :chuckle:

Awesome! Looks like you've found one of those sweet little clearings within a reprod patch. Always tons of critter sign in those areas.

I need to get in there at the end of the season and trim some of it back. It's like a little cul de sac.....not a very big area but has major paths coming in and out. There are still oats that grow from some cob I threw down last year. They took root and now make a nice little green patch. The bears....as you can see....still like to chew a few mouthfulls of fresh growth.

Not one of the bigger ones. See the "my own oh so close" thread for that one. Bro in law was guarding the flamingos yesterday and had something decent sized moving close by but it never came in.
