I hear there are lots of marmots out in the back country are they legal targets for my 22-250?
i'am willing to hike in to find them just not sure if its okay to wack them

I just saw one of the random photos of a couple guys holding up marmots... I thought it was illeagal to shoot them... :dunno:

You can shoot the yellow-bellied (or French) marmots, common on the east side. But you can't shoot the Olympic, Hoary, or any of the other varieties found in the high country on the West side.
