Title: Rabbit with bow
Post by: Gobble Doc on September 02, 2014, 06:33:28 PM
Got my first bow kill ever tonight.  A rabbit.  I was going to post a picture but I hit it below the head and it wasn't pretty.  Maybe I'll post a picture of the skinned result.  It's only Sept. 2nd and I'm already way ahead of last years bow harvest.  It's going in the crock pot tomorrow night.

Hunting rabbits with a bow is fun .. We used to go to the islands and hunt the pastures in the evening ..good way to fine tune your skills ..shooting and guessing yardage

Thanks guys.  I was sitting around for the past couple days trying to get a deer but had to settle with a rabbit. :chuckle:

I was glad that I got it with my first arrow and that I'm hitting my target.  Hopefully I can follow up the rabbit with a deer and some turkey.

I am impressed.  We were hunting and saw a large cottontail   My friend shot and broke 4 arrows.  I could stop laughing when he realized what an expensive rabbit.  Carbon arrows and muzzies about $12.00 an arrow.  Pics?
