For the last 8 yrs I typically spend the month of august in the hills on the weekends scouting and trying to fill my bear tag last yr I made a trip down to bouy 10 wih my brother he has a friend that spends basically the whole month down there fishing filling his freezer with salmon well last season we did ok Hooked up a couple times then after that I. Concentrated on hunting for the remainder of the yr well this yr was a little different I bought my travel trailor in the spring
For better comfort for my family and planned to stay a week down a bouy 10 well got my brothers boat ready going through everything on it making sure t was going to do us right down there all month of July planning checkin tides and going through the boat we towed the trailor down to the sandcastle rv park in longbeach in which it stayed for the month my brother brought his rv down as well as his boat we don't plan on fishing the first weekend but a lot of anticipation of all the fish to come my brother and dad went out I descided to stay in with my kids take them around to the beach and parks and get settled in they end up bringing in a nice chinook and a nice coho then well all headed back all week I couldn't wait to come down to longbeach the weekend comes around an we hit the road we fish Saturday and Sunday end up getting 4 that weekend 2chinook and 2 coho the following week I take half of Friday off work and we stay down there all that next week we end up getting 16 fish that week but we worked for it with constant boat issues that put us out of the water for 2 days i comeback the next following weekends and picking up another 7 fish all and all great month of fishing looking forward o next season
