I hope they start tonight. Only supposed to get up to 75 which means about 68 where I'm going. Crossing my fingers they start to get a little more vocal and get to moving

I hunted the first week from the ridge tops and didn't hear a bugle from morning til night except an estrous cow that I ran into and heard a light squeal behind her.  She was a first.  I've seen YouTube videos of it, but have never seen one live.  I would have bet my bow that it was another hunter.  I even stood up to encounter the hunter when she came by me at 20 yards.  I'm not sure there is enough time left in the season for them to get fired up.
