Post by: addicted2hunting on September 29, 2014, 04:44:02 PM
Hey guys, its my dogs first bird season and I want to get him on some wild birds. I would like to find a good location to get him on some pheasants and quail. I am definetly thinking the desert unit and more particularly the Winchester wasteway and east? Am I headed in the right direction? Any help is greatly appreciated! thanks fellas.

I grew up relatively close to you (Mt. Baker HS) and think you have a heap of birds close to you. I also think you can find Quail for sure in the Methow, and surrounding areas, unless you had your heart set on spending more time in the saddle and more $$ on gas that is.

Yeah, there are birds here but im not gonna be buying a westside permit.

Yeah I don't mind the extra gas money if it gets me into more area and Birds. I know the methow has a good quail population just not so much pheasant.
