Picked these two up after work on sunday. I walked up to the top of this ridge overlooking a small valley with some trees interspersed every 30 feet or so. I sat down with my buddy to relax for a minute, but since it was his first time out he had a fire under his butt since the light was fading and the only way to shut him up was to use the rabbit call. I pulled it out and half-heartedly let out a few screams. Within a couple of seconds, the field came alive. Dog #1 popped out at 30 yards headed our way in a dead sprint. I raise my .204 and open up a basketball-sized hole in his rib cage. Dog #2 popped out at 150 yards before the echo even faded. My buddy shoots while Im repositioning and he goes down, but something wasnt right. I gave him one more to put him out of his misery. (Turns out he hit him in the hip) We had a few more run out in front of us without allowing us a clean shot.
As soon as it started, it was over. Overall a great night. Got a friend excited about coyotes, took a few off the roster and ended the night catching a few fish out of the pond.

Sounds like fun. I've called in a few the same way. Sit down for a snack and just blast off a couple bunny crys then put it away. Few min latter they come creeping in
