The 4000cu in is about the largest I would recommend for a hunter that desires a pack to fit all their needs, and provide enough room to pack in for a day trip. The nice thing about all three of the packs is that they have expansion capabilities to keep all of the material comressed when not in use, and keep partial loads close to your back and carried properly, thus preventing fatigue. The 5000cu in. provides a bit more room, and an external pouch on the top, and well as the 6000. Both are designed for packing in for an overnight stay with enough room for a tent/sleeping bag, etc. The larger capacity does come with the expense of additional weight.

Really though with that close of a price I'd likely buy it from you. Being able to deal with a person instead of a computer on any warranty issues is worth the extra $10-20.
