Title: hunter friendly places
Post by: runningboard on October 04, 2014, 07:26:32 PM
while here in Wyoming and knowing what some of us less fortunate people have to deal with, with all of the tree-hugging greenies thinking we are anything but good for hunting the poor, starving, defenseless animals. it is refreshing to see such a hunter friendly town I am staying in,
here is the local KOA garage that the owner set up for meat processing, complete with showers and bathrooms separate from the rest of the campground, it also has many plug-ins built into it so you can bring a chest freezer and unload it during the season, process your own game, fill your own freezer and load it up when you're ready to go home. he even stays open longer just for hunting season.

he has gambrels set up with running water close by to wash the freshly skinned animals.

he has a cutting table setup with a sink, he only asks that you keep it clean for the next user.

the Rodeway Inn motel down the street has a meat pole set up and says on their sign "welcome hunters, stay as guests, leave as friends"

sign at a local bar and grill

another one that I've seen on the back of Luke's BBQ in Loon Lake, hung there so long it lost all of it's color.

Been in that bar and all the locals were all great.  That motel hanging post was a shocker the first time we drove through town.  We are going to try and go back there next year

Don't know where you are but I did a deer hunt with my mom a decade ago in the NE part and the hotel manager had no problems with me hanging my deer out back from a tree for butchering.  Definitely a different mindset back there.
