Title: Fishing under 522 bridge
Post by: iBULLZEYE on October 04, 2014, 11:26:40 PM
I've been planning to make a trip down to the river to see how the fishing is this year. And finally have a chance tomorrow morning, although it's been a while and am not sure if a discovery pass is required to park under the 522 bridge off of old tester road. Can anyone confirm that for me? Good luck to everyone out there!!

Any luck? I fished just down from the bridge on the monroe side about 1/4 mile down from the bridge, saw jumpers and had maybe two hits using Blue Fox spinners. Still trying to learn how to catch salmon out of the rivers after having pretty good luck catching pinks just under that same bridge.

Any tips or areas of course appreciated.

Not a whole lot of luck! I've gone about six times now, three to the 522 and three over near Tualco, I've only pulled two fish out, I've hooked up with and 6, but they're all lock jawed. I've never seen it this bad before.
