Title: Badlands Customer Service - Nice!
Post by: pianoman9701 on October 10, 2014, 09:40:09 AM
I bought the Source this year and went hunting with it. The pack was a disappointment for my purposes. They designed it so you could incorporate your binos as part of the chest strap. But, for me, it didn't work well. My 10x42 Vortex moved around a lot with the elastic straps and I ended using separate bino straps and the clips on the pack hooked to each other for the chest strap. Not a great set-up. So when I got back from the woods, I boxed it up and sent it back with a note - like your stuff, not up to your standards, do what you can, etc. I got a call back from Zach today and they're sending out a replacement of a better pack, the Stealth, for no additional charge. The straps are not elastic, the waist belt is a better quality belt and has pockets, and the pack itself has more pockets and storage, without the pack being over the top for day hunting. It sounds like it's just what I'm looking for.

Although I haven't received it yet and don't even know if I'll like it, I'm very satisfied with the response from them and their continued great customer service. I have no doubt that should I not like it, they'll take great care of me until I have one I like. Very impressed.

I love my Badlands! Check out their 2200 also, I use it as a day pack and meat hauler. It's incredibly versatile and can handle more weight than you could ever carry. It's got a safety orange flap to tie over meat or horns on the pack out, its got a meat shelf, a gun scabbard, water bladder pouch, bow strap, side pockets, etc, etc and if you damage the bag in anyway they will replace or repair the pack at no cost! Badlands is the way to go. Hope you love the new pack!

I had a 2200 and sold it. It was too much pack for what I do. I do love their stuff.

I got my replacement pack back from Badlands, the Stealth. It's a great day pack. Very lightweight but good straps, lots of pockets, and well laid out. I'm very impressed with how they treated me on this return.

That's good to here! The wife's pack zipper came off the track so we will probably send it in to be repaired.

I've had good warranty service with Badlands. Terrible with SOC bags.
