EMERGENCY LEGISLATIVE ALERT from NRA-ILA:
“Washington: Olympia City Council to Take Public Comment on I-594 Resolution
Tonight, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. the Olympia City Council is scheduled (http://www.nraila.org/media/13468721/olympia_city_council_agenda__10-14-14_.pdf) to consider a resolution to support Washington’s anti-gun Initiative 594. Drafted under the guise of preventing crime and funded almost solely by elitist billionaires with a proud background of stifling the Second Amendment, I-594 is an 18-page document that does nothing but place heavy legal burdens on law-abiding gun owners. These anti-gun billionaires believe that they can buy your rights out from under you, and I-594 is their attempt at doing so.
During tonight’s meeting, the City Council will be accepting public comment on this resolution (http://www.nraila.org/media/13468724/olympia_i-594_resolution.pdf). Please attend and voice your strong opposition to Initiative 594 and politely encourage your council members to do the same. The City Council meeting will be held at the below location:
City Hall
City Council Chambers
601 4th Avenue East
Olympia, WA 98501
For more information on I-594, please visit www.VoteNo594.com. Also, make sure to VOTE NO on Initiative 594 in the General Election on or before November 4.”

email sent since I jsut seen this and too far anyhows.
But sent an email.
THier notation on 594 is false about online gun sales and gun shows for even online sales you have to ship to a FFL and go through a background check. I mean I went to gun broker latley and a gun I liked would have had to have gone through a FFL and back ground check
geez lies all lies i hate that :bash:

Hopefully some of you who read this EMERGENCY ACTION ALERT actually took action. Unfortunately, the message to the Olympia City Council was not loud and clear enough; they unanimously passed their resolution to support I-594.
I-594 is not an issue that will allow people to sit on the sidelines and watch what happens while thinking someone else will fight the battle. You have to take action folks, or we lose our rights! Just because it was the Olympia City Council doesn't mean people outside of Olympia should just watch and do nothing. I-594 attacks the rights and freedoms of every person in this state!

The decision on how to vote was made before you posted anything.

You are probably correct; they most likely already decided to vote to endorse I-594 before hearing anyone speak. When you listen to the council members speak in the video, this becomes somewhat evident. This is very unfortunate as they are supposed to represent the people, not their own views. Their position should have been to remain neutral on I-594. We now know that they will most likely be anti-gun with their views and actions as Olympia City Council members.
The message to ALL freedom-loving Americans in Olympia is to VOTE the current Olympia City Council members out of office the first chance you get; it appears they are not able to act objectively and without personal prejudice or bias.
The actual the Council vote occurred sometime after 7:00PM on October 14 during the Council meeting. Click on the link to view the proceedings.

I don't get how they can take a stand on this, yet the WDFW won't. This will affect Hunter Education badly.
