Finally got my bobcat mount back and I love how it turned out. Doublecut Taxidermy lost their tannery when it went out of business so it caused a delay in finishing the mount.
I was hunting the late Buck hunt east of Colville and there was quite a bit of snow that year. We were driving in my truck to another area to hunt when this young cat jumped across the road and went up a cedar tree. i got out and grabbed my Browning Model 78 25-06. Walked up to the tree and looked up to find the bobcat perched on a large branch about 14 ft up looking down at us. I know the rifle was a little overkill but this was my first cat and I was a little excited and should have used my buddies .22 pistol. However the 25-06 did the job without causing too much damage and the taxidermist did a great job sewing it up.

Looks good! I'd have hit him with the 25-06 too, kitties have a tendency to take off running if you don't use enough boom stick.
I took mine with a S&W 500 magnum last year.... had two half inch holes through and through but he sure didn't run away....
