Title: Tagged a 407 unit buck last night
Post by: 180-GRAIN on October 18, 2014, 12:34:48 PM
Well I hunted hard in the opener looking for a muley buck but came up short. So I went with the old reliable spot in gmu 407 and this guy come in chasing a doe. He was pretty stinky and never let the doe get more than 20 yards from him, kept sticking his nose up her butt. I would say the rut is close to starting in this area or this was just a really early doe. Anyway not a huge buck but I'm leaving on my annual Idaho hunt next Wednesday so I let the air outta him.

Nice going. Western Wa is hard to hunt with all that brush over there.
