Title: New to the PNW and need help getting pointed in the right direction.
Post by: 1000rrelkman on October 18, 2014, 08:37:01 PM
We moved to Washington in April from WV and fished a lot of coastal fishing in Louisiana, NC, and Florida.  I'm living near Yelm and have went down to the Cowlitz once a couple of weeks ago.  Then elk hunting and back to work.  Trying to find out where we could go to try to catch some salmon and how to rig for them?  Any help for a newbie would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Welcome to the Evergreen state.  The WDFW has an excellent write up on how to catch salmon:

Good luck,

Jg
