Title: bow stabilizer question
Post by: 30draw on October 20, 2014, 04:30:07 PM
can someone tell me why the hunters on TV have like 2 foot or more long stabilizers and the ones in the store only have like 8" ones?

it's about balance, but for TV it's alot of sponsership dollars... i mean you need to get what you like and if you buy a RTS pacakge your gonna get a crappy stabalizer

Actually it's a lot about inertia, torque and lever arms.  Put that rock on long stick and it is a lot harder to flick, which equates to greater stability.  A lot of what modern hunter stabilizers are doing has more to do with vibration dampening than stability
