Title: 80% AR lower - anyone done one?
Post by: lokidog on October 28, 2014, 02:16:08 PM: What is your experience? Do you still have the jig you might loan or sell? How do you do the stamping for the safety and other stuff on a smooth one? Can these be used for other than .223 (like 6.8, .243, and the like)? Would you recommend one with no finish or a finished exterior?

A machining party was arranged where you rented a CNC machine for 15min and were instructed how to do the work... Pretty slick. Something like $150 total

I have seen some polymer lowers that were 2 tone so that it was REALLY easy to do with a dremmel. You can buy the online stencils and make one with a drill press and a dremel even with an aluminum one.

Ive never done it but looks easy.

Palmetto state armory had a sale back a while ago and you could buy a muliticaliber lower for $55. shipped to your ffl :twocents:
