Anyone ever have any luck trying to get bear to come in in the daylight when they've been hitting apple trees in after dark? The neighbors are worried about this bear with their kids and dog...it comes right up to the house as that's where the trees are, but only ever after dark. Any ideas?

Well they're pretty hard-wired to be that way, particularly this time of year.
It's frustrating and mostly unfruitful to try and make a nocturnal creature to come out in the daylight.
That being said, I would try predator calling to maybe persuade this guy into showing his mug in the daylight. If you have a camera out to find out what time he's showing up, that'd be helpful. It might not be until 0200 and in that case you are wasting your time in my opinion.

Ya we finally got him on camera last night. He was seen at about 9:30 and again at around 10:30 then 2am and constant pics till about 5am. I don't think it's gonna be done. :-(

Pick the apples and remove other food sources and the bear will leave.
