Went to Cottonwoods last Saturday. First thing we killed was a rattlesnake. :yike:

THis late in the year? Was it a big one?

Maybe 14". Very bright and colorful....and lethargic.
I said, " good thing its cold so we don't have ro worry about snakes."
To which my partner instantly replied,
"There's one right here."
Right out on the gravel between some large rocks.
Mean looking bugger.

I haven't seen rattlesnakes for years. Dad and I killed 16 of them one summer in Klickitat (15 years ago, maybe more?)
Then I was running for PT on a post in California this summer and ran across a 3 footer laying in the road! He was pretty far from lethargic, and since I was just wearing running shorts and shoes, I surrendered the road and turned around. :chuckle:
