So I come upon this big old buck on the move. He wants nothing to do with me, so I jump in the truck, head to the other end of the ridge he is on, bail out and head up it and get in position to cut him off. He doesn't show. My mind is pretty negative at this point ripping myself a new one for being such a dope. I get back to the truck and go back to where I wanted to go in the first place. Curiosity got the best of me so I went and looked at where he was. This is what I found. That big ole fart knocker outsmarted the Bone.

I wish I could say that only 1 deer a year outsmarted me :) Nice job Bone!

Sometimes they get tired and need to lay down. You should remember that for next time :chuckle:

So basically you walked in the rest of our shoes as mere mortals for a few minutes... :chuckle:

:chuckle: Trust me, I screw up plenty. This time I thought I had the cat in the bag so to speak. I did manage to get into Sapphire Hawk distance though. :)

I definitely kick myself frequently during hunting season. I get educated every year when I know better at times.
