Title: any bears in gifford nat forest?

Saw a lot of sign during early archery elk around swampy meadows. Need more info let me know.

Post by: netcoyote on November 09, 2014, 07:59:30 PM: Spent a lot of years grouse hunting in the Mt Adams wilderness area down there. Almost never saw a bear, but...the biggest bear I've ever seen crossed the road in front of me about 5 years ago. I would say overall, there are a lot more productive areas to hunt them.

Post by: Alchase on November 11, 2014, 07:01:25 PM: Go further south towards trouts lake, or west to Misquito lakes or the ORV area by the lava fields. Lots of bear sign there.
