Pound for pound that's one of the best fighting fish around  I love catching chum but they will not let me fish for them ...just like I can not pop elk out of my yard :bash: :bash: :bash:
-
Today makes better sense, I thought tidat meant -tied that? It's like a car wreck when I see these posts, I know I won't be able to read them but I just gotta look.
-
I wouldn't know what to do with so many fish, smoke and can a bunch I guess.
-
"I eat meat, I eat rice" ;)
-
tidat hook bunch
= "got snagged a lot, and had to tie up a lot of gear",
but Wildman is much better at these translations

:yeah: This is why he is kicked off every other NW fishing site.
He is entertainment only. But it is funny.

woop woop!!!
-
Nise Chun. woop woop.
-
No not hoodsport. Another area. But I've been fishing a couple areas having great success. most fish people were keeping were dark where we were yesterday. We released a bunch before keeping the brightest ones we could to try on the smoker. Filleted them and skinned them too and gonna smoke them really slow tonight after a day brine. We will see how they turn out.
-
Fresh ones smoke up ok. A little soft. Good to do em fresh. I'll never forget the first chum I stuck in the freezer. Now that was gross.
-
Got skunked duck hunting this morning so I headed to the river. Limited in about ten minutes with two of the biggest chums (chun) I have ever seen/caught. Ill try and post a picture later if I can figure it out.

Who is this guy? He must have those squiggly red lines under every word when he types.
-
I take it y'all ain't never tried deep fried "Salmon nuggets" or "Steelhead candy"
I am a Southerner and as you know we love anything fried!!!! :yike:
I think fresh Chum are the best for fryin due to their high fat content (as with Springer). :tung:
I cut them into 1" chunks, run em through buttermilk with Johnnys seafood seasoning & lemon pepper then into the bisquick & then 8 mins in the fry daddy. Served hot with (tarter sauce mixed with ketchup) and hush puppies!!!!
