I just ordered one of these in Silver to fit (hopefully) on a Ruger Stls Mini-30 Ranch Rifle.

$80.10 w/free shipping seems like a heck of a good price to me. Does anyone have experience with this or a similar scope from Weaver?

Got it via UPS this afternoon. A trial mounting shows it fits perfectly! Yippee! The front bell clears the action by a good 1/8". Any bigger and it would need new rings. The factory rings which came with my used Mini-30 are marked #5. I assume these are the rings which were originally on the gun.
The finish on the scope is a bit brighter than the finish on the rifle, but it really looks good. If the Weaver lives up to what I remember about the old Weavers, it should be perfect. I have a 4X weaver on my old Winchester Model 88 in .284 Win.
