Me and my dad are staying at the nordlig in Chewelah til Wednesday. I'd like to try and get some access to relatively flat property for my dad to hunt on since he's a disabled hunter. He can get out and hike around some but not much. We've been coming over for the last few years an he's never been able to get a shot at a whitetail yet. It would be nice to see him get one this year. I've shot a couple for him being his companion hunter but it's just not the same for him. Not looking for a big buck just a legal one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you should of talked to Delores Noyes from the WDFW for disabled access areas around there. She has been very, very helpful to me. What unit can he hunt in first off ?

We've hunted in 111,117,121 on some state land but very little of it's flat

there is quite a bit of flat land in pend orelle wild life refugue off hwy 20 in GMU 117, i saw quite a bit of deer and a couple good bucks in there. Good luck to you and your dad

There is also Tiger meadows you could try.That is about as flat as you could ask for and there are also some cool areas right in that vicinity that is easy walking on the other side of the road from the meadows.

Waitts Lake behind the gates. ? Walk the logging roads, those are always flat...

little sweden road off waits lake has a disabled hunter access contact inland northwest wild life council for access through the gate there is a good flat area in there he can walk. you could plan this out for next year. pm me if you need more assistance.

You don't need to contact NW Wildlife, they've already handed out disabled permits. I've applied for their drawing for them and it hs to be done buy August I think.
I believe you can still walk in anyhow. If it's IEP, you need a permit.

The hunters/springdale highway had a gate with disabled access sign on it.Thats a great area to hunt..saw some dandy bucks around there over the years

I will second all the suggestions, they are all good areas with lots of easy ground. The LPO is easy to find, lots of easy ground there. Just look on any map of the area and you will see the LPO Wildlife Area. :tup:
