Had a great time hunting with friends in Idaho and Washington. I killed the old 3x4 with the smoke pole on Monday after not seeing any big scoring deer. I had found this buck and a big 3 and decided to take one of them towards the end of the hunt if nothing else materialized. Killed the whitetail buck this morning (last hunt day) in WA. So far this year, I have taken 3 animals with 3 different weapon types. One muzzy tag left...

Appreciate the kind words. I didn't have a ton of time to hunt this year as I spent most of my vacation building a new home. For the first time in the long time, my hunting season was not at the forefront of my mind this past year and kind of took me by surprise when it was finally here.
The muley buck has 5" bases and is 28" wide. I shot him at 223 yards and he toppled right over. I've never taken a shot (in the field) over 100 yards with a muzzy, but it did the trick!
The whitetail hunt was tough because I couldn't hunt the last 3 days (best days of the season). I shot the whitetail buck on the 5th morning which was also my last day to hunt. It was a total amateur hour trying to get him killed, but I ended up making a head shot at 420 yards in a small opening in the brush. Killed him quick, but ruined my opportunity at a euro. He is 18" wide and scores 144" with pretty decent mass (35")
