Title: No Late Hunt Success GMU 105
Post by: Reaper4 on November 17, 2014, 11:44:16 AM
Was up in Colville National Forest from the 13th to 16th and came out with no deer. Very little snow on the ground and temps were hovering around 20 the whole time. Friday I was on top of 3 doe for about 4 hours but no buck showed up, and  other than that I did not see anything. It is hard to sneak around when everything is frozen! I did record a video of a howling wolf that had to have been within a half mile of camp, and a fellow hunter saw a Cow Elk surprisingly. If I do not have my tag filled by late season next year, I am hoping the conditions will be better!

I was pretty close to you with nearly the exact same report.  Cold, does and walking around on broken glass.  In 3 days I heard two shots.  Very little sign anywhere.

Yeah it was pretty disappointing considering how great the conditions were last year!

There are still some wandering around in the pasture!   :chuckle:

I'm sure I will see a couple of beauties this weekend.
