Finishing up my first AR build in .223 Wylde.
I need to check the headspace with go/nogo gauges.
Not planning to build another in 223/556 so I'd rather not spend the $60 on a set.
Anyone in greater Seattle area have a set I could borrow?
I'll pay in a six-pack of beer of your choice! Or in .22 lr ammo

Pm sent....mine is .223

I can't even count the .223 & 5.56 AR uppers I have built over the years and I have never used a "Go" or "No Go" gauge. never had a single issue.

Does that include builds with barrels + bolts from separate manufacturers?

Yes.... Many different manufacturers. I've used complete bolt carrier groups from Stag, Rainier Arms, DPMS and a AIM NIB complete bolt carrier group with the same 5.56 upper. Never a issue, a bolt would have to be out of spec or a chamber. Then it would be a manufacturers issue and they would correct the part bolt/chamber. If they are all within production spec and pass QC then very rarely is there ever a issue.

Yep, same here, never needed to check headspace on the barrel/bolt combo from various manufactures. Built a few in the past 20 years and never had one single issue.

Cool concept - poor execution.
$7 to rent the headspace gauges.
$24 for shipping USPS Priority.
That's more than the cost of one of the gauges. Guess I'll just risk it.
