It's not clear if they took orange off, but if so they had it off for longer than posing for a photo. Same could be said about the vodka toast- did they unload first and were done hunting :dunno:
I did appreciate the reverence they showed for the animal.

Regarding the witch hunt, here's the relevant part of the law regarding the orange:
RCW 77.08.010 Definitions
(65) "To hunt" and its derivatives means an effort to kill, injure, harass, harvest, or capture a wild animal or bird.
This isn't an effort to capture because that's about living things. It is not a harvest that's about gathering in crops. It's not and effort to kill, injure, or harass because that's already been done.
Then the rule about the orange goes something like this...
WAC 232-12-055 Hunting--Hunter orange clothing requirements.
(2) It is unlawful to hunt deer or elk during all modern firearm general seasons in any manner unless the hunter is wearing fluorescent hunter orange clothing.
So if the hunt is done, the law doesn't require orange... or does it...
The funny one in the law is this one:
(3) All modern firearm permit holders must wear fluorescent hunter orange clothing.
The spirit of the law on this one probably has intended meaning "while hunting." Even so, it is omitted in this clause and explicitly specified in adjacent clauses. So to be tedious and literal these guys and the rest of you should be wearing the orange during funerals, weddings, job interviews, and other curious situations.
