Title: Sheep and Elk

I had to put on a LONG stalk to get close to these guys :chuckle:, they were really skittish :chuckle: :chuckle:.

I don't know, he was running around checking just about every ewe that peed while I was there. I didn't know they were still rutting. Some bigger rams were pushing each other around. And lip curling a little.

Post by: 270Shooter on December 20, 2008, 07:26:03 PM: Anybody been to the cowiche wildlife area yet? I went there first but I only saw a raghorn 4x5 and some cows. They were too far away to get a pic of though. Also has anybody ever quail hunted up in that area?

With this storm we should start seeing more and more elk down in the feeding stations. :IBCOOL:

Right on man! I'll let you know and maybe we can meet up there. Its a lot of fun even though they just stand there like domestic sheep. Maybe we could go to the cowiche and stalk up to some big bulls?
