Title: Lake Roosevelt Gear Advice
Post by: swanny on December 05, 2014, 10:06:37 AM: So my parents have place in Lincoln and my dads been doing more and more fishing, mostly trout, especially in the fall, winter, and early spring. I'm looking to put a package together for Christmas for my dad. Can anyone give advice on some tackle that I might look to get? They typically troll, he has rod/reel already, but he typically uses whatever his friend has set up.

downriggers, side planers, divers, gang trollers flys galore every doo hickey and gadget and come home with an empty cooler.

then I go fishing with this old fart on ancient old pole with leaded line that's got to be older than me, gang troller that's 50 years old a wedding ring and we got a limit.
Run out three colors he says, spool out three colors and BAM fish on!
